How long will it take for dns to work?
It usually takes 24-48 hours for a domain to fully propagate. This however all depends on your isp it might update within minutes for your neighbor but take up to a week for you.
The reason for this is the local routers your isp runs off of update at different times. If you are on comcast or road runner cable it is very common for dns take a week or more to update. But most of the time its usually less than 24hrs. You can also clear your DNS CACHE information by:
Click "start" then "run" on your Microsoft OS
Type "cmd" (this will bring you into DOS)
Type "ipconfig /flushdns"
Sometimes this helps speed the process on your machine if you machine is caching DNS.
